One Hairstyle, Four Looks, What style are you?
With so many brides loving our in store service, and really appreciating seeing various headpieces being worn, I decided to bring a hairstylist into my Melbourne boutique for a bit of a play date, to show exactly how this works. We started with an example of a popular bridal hairstyle, adding a selection of headpieces to highlight how different wedding accessories can really change the look and style of a bride.
This really enables Bride to get more insight into how they could look on their wedding day. It offers some bridal hair inspiration and I hope encourages brides to think through the accessories as a whole, not an afterthought.
With that in mind and wanted a hairstyle you could relate to, Justine created a beautiful loose, up style bun (probably the one of the most requested hairstyles by brides today).
I chose a few different style Bridal headpiece to show you beautiful “brides to be” how much an impact accessories can make. Here’s what we came up with… Hope you like them.
Natural Bridal headpiece
For the first look I chose a soft natural piece encrusted with leaves pearls and crystals, it’s available in both silver or gold and is very malleable and versatile for any bridal hair stylist to use. It really is so versatile in how it can be worn and because of its organic design can be placed anywhere and look amazing.
For this look I decided to wrap it around the back of the hair but it is equally beautiful in a half up do, in the same position or around the front becoming a bridal headband.
I have always found this headpiece so easy to use love how the open leaves and crystals create a look with soft flowing nature vibes. Many of our brides wear it to create a boho look but we have equally seen it at beach weddings, winerys or grand receptions, Its that versatile.
Modern Bridal headpiece
We often get brides thinking they just want to wear an earring, so we decided to put a large pair on our beautiful model Taylor, but also showed you how you can wear a bit of something at the back of your hair. Most brides focus on what they see in the mirror, but we want to remind you how your guests see you at all angles. I want to show how you can easily wear a head piece without it taking away from your dress or other bridal jewellery
With that said, I chose one our most refined designs. It’s a cubic zirconia headpiece (available in silver or gold) that sits beautifully in the back of the hair. It can be worn with the hair up, hair out, or half up and half out. It’s quite a versatile piece, which we placed it in the back of the hair for a simplistic contemporary look for today’s Modern Bride.
Princess Bridal headpiece
For this look we went with a classic silver bridal crown. It’s light and open design allows daylight to peek through while the cubic zirconia crystal sparkle as you move. While crowns can only be worn at the front of the head they are versatile with the hairstyles they can be worn with; This bridal crown can be worn with your hair up, half up / half down, or all out with finger waves for a more modern look.
Statement
There were just so many different looks you can choose from when adding a headpiece in the mix. For a fourth look I’ve decided to choose one of our popular and versatile design. While this piece is open with a light spray design, the Navette shape crystals and leaf work create a really striking affect when worn at the side of the head as one piece or double up for more WOW, bridal factor. This piece is versatile and we have seen our real brides wear it in many varying ways. With one side of the hair up and the rest out, placing the hair piece above the ear. All up bridal bun, or all your hair out with some styled finger waves. It’s really hard to pick a favourite as all look equally striking. (Click “SHOP HEADPIECE” to see our real brides chose to wear it).
After we finished filming we couldn’t help but try some extra pieces on while Taylor was looking so gorgeous . I guess you can consider this the extras reel, hehe. But seriously, there is a reason this hairstyle is so popular with brides. It just works. It works with all bridal dress styles and wedding hair piece. You can’t go wrong. I hope this blog gives you some bridal inspo and really highlights the importance of accessories and the effect it can create on your bridal look.
It was a great day shooting in store with the help from some amazing ladies.
A big shout out to Justine for creating this beautiful hairstyle and Nhi for the flawless make up. Both ladies created the perfect bridal look, and you can see why they are so popular with Melbourne brides.
