Please note, costume jewellery is fragile and should be treated with care. All items will last many years if cared for. We recommend the following as best practices to extend your years of pleasure wearing Jeanette Maree products.

Tarnishing of metal:

Only some bright silver items over time will tarnish to a darker silver. Most of these should be able to be polished back to a bright silver.

Wear of metal:

Golds and Rose Gold plating may fade over time to reveal the silver, or copper  base metal. Silver may, over time wear to reveal the copper base metal.

The longevity of the metal finish can be affected by and depend on the following things. (These factors are out of our control and don’t qualify for a refund or exchange): acidity or composition of skin, caused by natural elements, internal medication, supplements or external creams, lotions etc.

Basically, keep your jewellery away from the following:

• Water
• Dishwashing soap
• Lotion
• Perfume
• Hair sprays or hair products.
• Perspiration
• Silver cleaner
• Other harsh chemicals

Care tip:

Put your jewellery on after you put your clothes on and before your take your clothes off

Store your jewellery wrapped in tissue and your Jeanette Maree jewellery box or pouch to keep them secure and prevent them being knocked around. Do not keep your jewellery loose in a purse or handbag, as mixing with keys and other items will cause damage very quickly.
